South Africa Wine is offering comprehensive bursaries for the 2026 academic year to support the next generation of wine industry professionals. This opportunity is open to South African citizens and permanent residents who are currently in or have completed Matric and are unemployed. The bursary covers full tuition fees for a range of approved qualifications, including diplomas and degrees in Viticulture, Oenology, Cellar Technology, Agricultural Economics, and related fields at accredited South African institutions. Beyond financial support, the programme provides significant added value through hands-on industry experience, networking opportunities via the South Africa Wine Learner Management System, and education in sustainable wine practices. Applicants must not be in receipt of any other funding and must submit a detailed online application with extensive supporting documentation, including academic records, a motivational letter, and certified copies of ID, by the closing date of 31 October 2025.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident
- Must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Must be studying or intending to study towards a qualification in one of the fields listed above
- Must be enrolled or planning to enrol at a recognised and accredited South African institution
- Must have a passion for and commitment to the wine industry
- Must NOT already be receiving another bursary, scholarship, or funding award
- Must be unemployed
